When asphalt has not been properly maintained, water will eventually seep into the sub-base and cause the pavement to fail completely. In the case of alligatoring (see picture below), it will need to be completely reconstructed.
Asphalt reconstruction is considered one of the most permanent repairs, but also the most expensive. It is used on severely damaged asphalt surfaces that will continue to cause problems if another method of repair is used instead.
We will saw-cut around the area, excavate all defective material and re-install/compact the base rock and asphalt.
